PERSONAL BIO

Born and raised in Almaty, Kazakhstan, I went to St. Petersburg, Russia after finishing high school to study at university. Soon after graduation, I immigrated to Toronto, Canada where I had lived for 8 years up until 2013 when I moved to Moscow, Russia in pursuit of an interesting career opportunity. Since 2015 I have been working at Google Russia, while playing an active leadership role in the development of the Russian Toastmasters community in the Moscow Area and beyond.

TOASTMASTER HISTORY

Ever since I joined my first Toastmasters club – New Horizons (Toronto, Canada) – back in 2012, I realized that the more active one is at the Toastmasters, the more he/she gains from it.
Having put the “learn by doing” principle in action, I was able to tremendously increase my leadership skills during my career at Toastmasters via fulfilling a role of a VP Public Relations, serving as an Assistant Director, Club Growth for the Moscow Area in 2015-2016, and playing an overall active leadership role within the Russian Toastmasters. I am proud to be part of such a vibrant community we have in the Moscow Area today, and envision the Toastmasters spreading all over Russia in the foreseeable future!

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In my role overseeing overall operations of the Moscow Area Toastmasters, including but not limited to budget planning, communication strategy development and implementation, conflict resolution, and sustainable community growth. My leadership philosophy is to engage community members and empower them for growth and success.

PERSONAL BIO

I grew up in the Urals then moved to pursue my bachelor’s and master’s in MGIMO University, Moscow. Currently I’m working as project manager in banking operations.

TOASTMASTER HISTORY

February 4, 2014 was the day when WorldSurfers had it’s first meeting and also when I discovered the world of Toastmasters. Instantly hooked by the learn-by-doing concept, I joined in. From the get-go I was offered a leadership position in the Club. Since then I’ve been serving as WS officer (Treasurer & Cameraman, twice VPM and then President).
Moving on to the Area leadership is a big challenge which I’m ready to meet based on my experience.

ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

In my role I’m responsible for overseeing the educational progress of Moscow TM clubs. In practice it involves:
* Cooperating closely with the clubs’ VPEs & coordinating their work
* Generating new educational ideas and initiatives and promoting them in the clubs
* Organizing major educational events (officer trainings, contests & workshops)

QUOTE

“I’m truly fascinated by the Toastmasters concept that opens the world of public speaking to just about everybody in a simple but highly effective way. And it’s exciting to see so many talented, driven and creative individuals joining the Moscow community and making their valuable input. I enjoy every minute of it!”

WHAT ARE THREE THINGS YOU WANT MOSCOW TOASTMASTERS TO KNOW ABOUT YOU?

First, I have a twin sister who’s also a Toastmaster!
Second, I love mountain hiking so if you are also an avid hiker, let’s get together and hit the road!
Third, I’m a Green Day fan.
